For the past week I’ve been supporting four of our future stars in the world of triathlon on a training camp in Spain. This GB triathlon training camp was led by head coach Colin Gardner from the base in the hills of Andalucia. While it’s not your glamorous resorts of Lanzarote or Majorca, the training facilities on offer are perfect for some quality focused warmer miles away from the hype of the more popular destinations. My role was mostly physio and assistant coach, but also driver / chef / bike mechanic / general dogs body! A hard week, but thoroughly enjoyable to see that these 15-17yr olds are showing such talent that the current seniors really need to watch their backs (the 16-17yr olds were putting out numbers which would put them in contention of any senior ITU race!).
