I am IBFI level 4 certified and an Advanced Retül fitter providing an elite level bike fitting service to all levels of bike riders, from pro’s to age groupers and enthusiasts. The combination of my physiotherapy and coaching background coupled with the 3D Retül motion capture analysis system enables me to provide an unrivalled level of accuracy to improve performance, reduce injury risk and ensure comfort on the bike. I am also the Academic Module Leader for lower limb and clinical biomechanics on the MSc Trauma and Orthopaedics pathway at Salford University, this involves teaching and coordinating with the leading medical practitioners in the region (and internationally). As part of my clinical and academic roles I am involved in various research projects concerning 3D motion capture and am a PhD supervisor “Visualising inertial motion sensor data; A software solution for the analysis of asymmetry in cyclists using optical motion capture technology”.

With over 10 years experience with athletes; including work for the English Institute of Sport, UK Athletics, British Triathlon, British Cycling and an extensive NHS background and a MSc in Manipulative Therapy, I am able to bring the knowledge and experience you expect from top flight sport to the general public. I am the Academic Lead for the clinical biomechanics and lower limb MSc Trauma and Orthopaedics course at Salford University, and am involved with research into motion analysis in horse riders and cyclists.
