Our training philosophy and processes

Our coaching philosophy is an individualised, holistic, process whereby we are continuously evolving to optimise your training and adaptation. We follow the same principles with all our athletes, from Olympic medalists through to beginners. No matter where you are on your journey, or where you destination is, the same processes apply.

Account for individual considerations

  • Principles of training

There are key principles which underpin all sports at all levels, these include stimulus and adaptation (add little black book definitions)

  • Continual assessment and reflection

    Data informed training

  • Physiology of Performance

By understanding your goals and the physiological requirements needed to achieve them, we can focus on the methods which are most effective at delivering your goal performance.

  • Individual considerations and Deep Health

We place as much emphasis on your total health as we do your pure athletic performances. By identifying your individual traits and needs we can ensure the training is designed specifically for you.

  • Hierarchy of training

We must focus on the ‘big rocks’ of training (volume, intensity and rest) before we worry about adding additional tools.
