Executive coaching for leaders in endurance sport
Managers, leaders and business owners who train and race already know that performance is built on health. HP3 brings that principle to work: coaching that treats wellbeing as the foundation of performance, not the reward for it.
Executive coaching at HP3 is delivered by Clare Walkeden of Auburn, and sits inside the same clinically-led team that coaches our athletes: physiotherapists, sport psychologists, nutritionists and sleep researchers, there if the pressure of work starts to show up in the body.
The first step is always a free discovery call. From there, most people work in packages of three or six sessions, online or in person, with the option to walk and talk outdoors.
For leaders under sustained load
Executive coaching does its best work where capability is not the problem but capacity is: a step up in role, a change of direction, or a stretch of pressure that has started to cost sleep, energy or judgement. Coaching creates protected time to think, so that the thinking turns into focus, clarity and action.
Change and transition
Career progression, a new remit, a relocation or a decision about the business. Space to work out what the change asks of you before it is asked.
Wellbeing under pressure
Stress, overwhelm, resilience and burnout, approached as the foundation of performance rather than a side issue to manage around.
Communication and preferences
DISC profiling, delivered by a Level 2 accredited practitioner, to understand your own preferences, how they shift under stress and how they land on the people around you.
Confidence and an endurance mindset
For leaders who also train and race: the discipline of pacing, recovery and long-horizon goals, applied to work and to the self-confidence that sustained performance needs.
If what you need turns out to be clinical rather than coaching, an injury, a sleep problem or a nutrition question, the HP3 team is one conversation away. One team, no referral loop.
Sustainable momentum, not borrowed energy
Clare built the Endurance Mindset Framework from running a business, racing self-supported ultras and coaching people through both. It works on self-awareness around mindset and behaviour, so that resilience, motivation and clarity are built rather than drawn down from reserves. Six areas of focus structure the work.

Start with a conversation
Every engagement begins with a free discovery call, so that the work, the format and the length are agreed before anything is booked. Sessions are usually monthly, which leaves time to reflect and act between them.
Free discovery call
A conversation to understand what you want to work on and whether coaching is the right tool for it. No commitment either way.

Clare Walkeden
Executive coach and facilitator, founder of Auburn
Clare works with senior leaders, business owners and people with adventurous goals, creating protected time that brings focus, clarity and action. Her particular strength is creating the conditions for new thinking in periods of change, challenge or transition, and in the fundamentals of communication and positive behaviour that make teams work.
Her approach is practical and blended, with wellbeing built in as the foundation rather than added at the end. Where location allows, she takes coaching outdoors, walking rather than sitting.
Clare is also Chair of Abianda, a London-based charity working with young women and girls affected by criminal exploitation and violence.
She is an endurance athlete herself. Alongside multiple Ironman events, she has completed several of the largest self-supported ultra cycling races in the UK and Europe, including the Highland Trail 550, the Alps Divide and Bright Midnight. Read her profile with the HP3 team.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be an endurance athlete to work with Clare?
No. The Endurance Mindset Framework draws on sport, but it is a way of thinking about resilience, clarity and sustainable momentum that applies to anyone leading under pressure. Many of Clare’s clients are managers, leaders and business owners who do not race at all.
Is executive coaching the same as therapy or clinical treatment?
No. Coaching is forward-looking work on goals, behaviour and performance. Clare is a Mental Health First Aider, not a clinician. If a clinical need shows up alongside the coaching, such as an injury, a sleep problem or a nutrition question, the HP3 team of physiotherapists, nutritionists and sleep researchers can help directly or point you to the right support.
How long is a session, and where does it happen?
Sessions run between 60 and 75 minutes online, or up to 90 minutes in person when walking together. Most people take sessions monthly, which leaves time to reflect and act between them.
How many sessions will I need?
Most people start with a package of three or six sessions, depending on the work. The right length is agreed on the free discovery call, and nothing is booked before that conversation.
How much does executive coaching cost?
Package pricing is confirmed on the discovery call once the format, online or in person, and the number of sessions are agreed. Email info@hp-3.co.uk if you would like the current rates before booking a call.
Can DISC profiling be used with my team as well as with me?
Yes. Alongside one-to-one coaching, Auburn offers facilitation and team learning, and DISC profiling can be run for a team to raise awareness of individual preferences and how they interact under pressure. Raise it on the discovery call.
